Travel

I joke to people that plane tickets are an addiction. It’s only half a joke. No, more like 10% joke. The truth is, I am completely addicted to being “away” and sometimes I think that I can only be really happy when I am completely out of my element. There’s no real reason for me to be this way. I have a wonderful, loving family and great friends in Canada – no reason to be “elsewhere” except for the way it makes me feel. And really, when I picture the way I want my life to be it involves flitting from place to place, creating new homes over and over again.

Anyways, I’m going to be leaving Canada again in less than two months, for what will probably be my longest stint abroad yet. June 15th I’ll take the bus from Ottawa, and late at night on the 16th I’ll catch a plane in New York and arrive in Guatemala mid-day on the 17th. Soon, then, this will turn into a real travel blog again.
